"they can if we will"

Supporting Our World
Pelicans Academy of Technology is a virtual classroom that teaches technology skills in a biblically sound environment to individuals around the world who would otherwise not have the same opportunity.
Pelicans teachers are skilled professionals specializing across the spectrum of technology expertise. They are equipped with the latest training techniques to provide quality technology instruction while infusing the message that Jesus is Lord and God is to be honored with the use of the technology skills being trained.
All Pelicans instructors follow biblical standards for all class sessions. Standards include prayer before and after each class session and periodic infusion of biblically-based best practices for technology use in a world where technology is frequently not used for moral purposes. Pelicans will provide instruction on how to be a technology leader to further the Kingdom of God. Pelicans believes God is the author of all technology enhancements and all technology can be used to glorify God.
Our Strategy
1. Meeting the Local Need
Pelicans offers training to organizations that have a local need to provide technology skills instruction to the individuals they provide ministry and assistance.Pelicans is international, highlighting the significant international need. Courses are conducted through virtual classrooms and taught in English. Organizations requesting Pelicans courses are required to provide interpreters if their students do not speak English.
2. Formal Instruction
Pelicans courses are structured and utilize formal curriculum including course outlines, electronic materials, schedules and assignments. Course participants are expected to complete assignments outside of the course sessions to be prepared for the follow-up sessions. Grading is not included in the course curriculum as progress is monitored by the local organizations.Certificates of completion are provided by Pelicans
3. Mission Oriented
Pelicans is non-profit and does not receive funding from the organizations requesting the training for the courses being taught. The local organization creates the class environment at the local level. Pelicans does not organize any of the local logistics. Laptops with the appropriate software should be provided by the local organization for the student use. Access to training rooms and necessary video conferencing equipment should be provided by the local organization. (NOTE: Grants from Pelicans may be possible to assist with local equipment needs)
